As a graduate of the Robotics and Artificial Intelligence MEng, you will have key critical skills in mathematics, engineering, computer science, AI and robotics. This core technical knowledge is underpinned by your experience in project work, practically applying knowledge and communicating these through report writing and presentations. By being able to combine theory with practice, you will find yourself equipped to work in the way that engineers work on teams in the real world. The year also includes a group project, in which the ability to exercise these considerations alongside technical development is developed. The Undergraduate Preparatory Certificates (UPC) prepare international students for a UCL undergraduate degree who don’t have the qualifications to enter directly.

This module examines how knowledge can be represented symbolically and how it can be manipulated in an automated way by reasoning programs. This module will mainly cover modern approaches to natural language processing (NLP), including various deep neural networks (DNNs) for NLP, current topics of NLP.
Working in small teams, students will go through the full project life-cycle of design, development and implementation, for a bespoke software requirement. In this course, students gain vital experience to enable them to enter the computer science/Electrical engineering workforce, with a degree backed by the British Computer Society, and by the Institute of Engineering and Technology. The Pre-Masters Programme is a preparation course held at the University of Strathclyde International Study Centre, for international students (non EU/UK) who do not meet the academic entry requirements for a Masters degree at University of Strathclyde. Our AI & Applications Masters is designed specifically for graduates without a computing science background. It’s a course in modern artificial intelligence, with a focus on intelligent agents and machine learning.
Foundations of Machine Learning
This module will cover deep neural networks (DNNs) and modern approaches to computer vision including DNN models for various computer vision tasks and current topics of computer vision. The Computer Network Engineering programme enables students to develop a range of analytical techniques and problem-solving skills to real-world computer networking scenarios. During this course you will have the option to complete a placement year, an invaluable opportunity to put the skills developed during your degree into practice.

This module introduces both the wireless and optical propagation environments, the modelling of the corresponding channels as well as their implications on the design and architecture of wireless and optical communications systems.
